30th Sept. 2017: "Salomé" Live with Mixture Trautonium, Filmmuseum Potsdam

For the exhibition "Everything turns and moves … The Dance and the Cinema" at the filmmuseum Potsdam Peter Pichler plays live at his Mixture Trautonium to the avantgardist silent film classic "Salomé" (1923) by Charles Bryant.

The film cuts through the traditional moral beliefs of the 1920s America. Similar to the Trautonium, that dragged the listener of those times out of his usual "sound comfort zone" Both - film and instrument - mark the beginning of a new, media ear.
